To celebrate a long day on the river and my birthday while posting to the blog I decided to check out this Napa Valley Red. 67% Cabernet Franc and 33% Merlot. This wine provides an exciting New World fruity adventure. With the smell of Raspberry jam on the nose the wine follows through on the tongue with lots of bright berries. It finishes nicely as well It is a nicely balanced wine. The wine does cost $30 so it better bring some thunder to the table and I think it does. I would certainly drink it again. I ranks high on the delicious factor.

Trying me second bottle of this wine tonight. We are going to the Brick Oven for dinner so I cracked this bottle at home to enjoy a glass prior to dinner. Smell oaky on the nose with berry action. It’s very translucent.
Exciting on the front of the tongue, thin wine with a funny flavor on the finish. The oak doesn’t dominate on the palate. Sour berries on the side of the mouth. For $30, it seems expensive to me.
